A good base for exploring Paris

We stayed at the Hotel Armstrong in Paris on the 3rd July and found it very pleasant. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable :-)
We were in a standard room I think but it was spacious and the bed was comfy. The hotel is situated next door to a private underground carpark which has security cameras. Inside the hotel it is clean and modern, the television choice in English is limited, but there are two news channels. No room service but downstairs there is a nice bar which we tried and found that the prices were reasonable for Paris. Be warned: in the tourist areas they can charge you up to 10 Euro a pint ! This is a great hotel for a city trip with the Porte de Montreuil underground station near to the hotel: we bought a carnet of 10 tickets for about 11 Euro which gave us 10 rides wherever we wanted in Paris and trains were every three minutes.
Overall a good base for exploring Paris.
