A place to recommend

As we were on a budget we were looking for something not too expensive but with more to offer than a bed and breakfast. The quality of this hotel should be based on its value for money and so getting a small room was not an issue (it would have been if we had paid double the price). It is not a four or five star but given the price we got more than we expected for a two star. Both the room and the bathroom were small but clean and the staff in the hotel couldn’t have been nicer. The room included a flat screen TV and a personal safe and wireless internet was free. We had a problem closing the safe on the second day but after a call to the reception it was fixed within half an hour. The location was ok as the metro was within a short walk and the line number 9 went to all the interesting places. Breakfast was nothing special: the usual European buffet with cereals and croissants. The reception staff was full of information and willing to help out. There is a list of restaurants at the reception with some excellent places within walking distance (try the “Bouclart“). If you are on a budget but are not looking for a luxury hotel but wanting to find more than a place to sleep the Hotel Armstrong is to be highly recommended. We paid 68 EUR per night (breakfast was extra at 8 EUR but we didn’t take it every day).
