The friendly staff really made the stay

We have just returned from staying at the Hotel Armstrong in Paris which was convenient to reach all the sights via the metro and with lots of shops and restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel was clean but it was the helpful staff that really made this hotel stand out. They were so friendly and all spoke excellent english. The public areas were particularly well decorated and airy. The room was compact and not particularly special but it offered everything you would need with a change of towels every day. A kettle with coffee and tea were provided and free to use and there were added services like the Wi Fi connection which was also free. It was very good value overall. The staff organised a private shuttle service to return to the airport and this proved to be much more economic than the taxi drive in which cost 35 euros!!! We would advise taking the train into Paris from the airport if you want to spend less still but it depends on how much luggage you have as it can be awkward with big suitcases and steps in the metro where there are not always escalators.
