Friendly and cheap hotel near the outskirts of Paris

This hotel was really easy to find by car as it is not far from the exit off the ring road. They charge extra for the car park (14 euros a night) and if you want breakfast it is 8 euros per person. Although it is located near the outskirts of Paris the nearest tube station Porte de Montreuil is two minutes down the street.  By tube (metro) it takes around fifteen minutes to get to Notre Dame and the Louvre museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially the one guy at the desk.  There was a cheap supermarket nearby and several pubs.  We got a very good price for the room which was clean and a good size.  It had a TV and a bathroom and a safe for valuables.  The hotel was not right in the city centre, but if you want a private room, you can’t beat the cheap price. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Armstrong again on my next trip to Paris.
